  1. Depending on your settings it can repeat consistently the same notes or change randomly. thanks Dan How do you get it to repeat constantly?
  2. Thanks David... yeh I did actually suss that in the end !!
  3. I am using arpeggiator for the first time... So it records midi information and my question is after recording the midi information, when I play back the track is it always going to play the same part? It's weird - seems sometimes the part played back is consistent but sometimes it changes or am I imagining it Is this because the arpeggiator is a live effect constantly playing and when I play back it plays live and constantly changes or if I have recorded it should it then be consistently the same on playback? thanks
  4. If I record some changes on an instrument track using Latch How can I then wipe out that information - so it goes back to normal? thanks
  5. Thanks David you're right ! I just tried switching off ALL the Advanced Prefs and thats what happens ! But don't know why his Logic would open like this by default - and why is this important information is so hidden. Pete
  6. I just visited a friend with a new iMac running Logic and it looks completely different to my Logic ! But both are version 10.0.6 ! His has a new stripped down slick look.... for example in a new track mine has the usual M, S, R & I buttons - but his are all icons. What's going on?
  7. not to me they don't my question is why not have them really bright? however I just selected polyphonic flex for an audio track and they are really bright ! hmmm - not sure what the criteria is here ..... thanks
  8. You know when you turn on Flex Is there a setting to get the transients to show up more clearly maybe I need new glasses but I can't see them very well at all thanks
  9. You know when you drag along the top bars to create an orange loop or bounce region (correct name?) How do you get Logic to remember a region you have designated it keeps changing at random and I have to keep drawing it again and it's driving me nuts thanks
  10. Say I play a bum note and I want to copy and paste the correct note from elsewhere in the region. What is the correct method to do this? thanks Pete
  11. Thanks David - you solved it simple when you know how !! Pete
  12. What is the Correct way to SAVE AS a project without duplicating all the audio files? Obviously I do a project SAVE AS so I can keep all the tracks and the way they are set up but I don't need to keep all the audio files from the first project. If I delete all regions in the first project and select Keep in the dialog box it keeps all the audio files. I have tried deleting all the regions in the new project (selecting Delete in the dialog box) in the past with disastrous results - it deleted all the audio files from the first project !!!! So what is the Correct way to SAVE AS without duplicating the audio files? Is it as case of letting Logic save everything then physically going to the new project folder and trashing the audio files? Surely there's a quicker way...? thanks Pete
  13. Yes I found it - working now many thanks
  14. How? Can't find All view - which menu is it in?
  15. In the metronome settings there is no option for "no output" How do you have the metronome only in the headphones not the monitors?
