  1. I think this best sums up what I am talking about, and it seems to happen even when I do not drag a note outside of the piano roll workspace. Essentially, in the piano roll in Logic X, you can scroll horizontally through the loops of a midi region. Versus in logic 9, the piano roll was confined to the initial loop of the midi region, and you could not scroll horizontally through the loops. So in logic X, zooming on the initial loop is more difficult and the autoscroll is much more sensitive because the space the piano roll covers is much more broad. Is there a way to make it more like logic 9?
  2. Is there any way to get the piano roll scrollers to be less sensitive? Anytime I move a midi point in the piano roll its almost a guarantee that it scrolls one way or another - the way the piano roll is set up is different from logic 9. Can anyone else relate to this issue?
  3. Thanks for your help man - I do too, with notes in the piano editor. But I don't know how to use the event editor with midi regions. So when I click on a midi region in the arrange, where the does the region show in the event editor? Also, would you happen to know how to set lpx so that - when my note length is at 239, if I try to lengthen it in the piano roll to 1 239, it will retain the 239 end length and not make it 2 0. In logic 9 I believe I had it on the division setting and it would do this - not the same in lpx. Currently Im having to adjust it using the event editor and its a real workflow killer going back and adjusting
  4. Hey guys - what are your strategies for checking if a midi region begins or ends at an offbeat instance? And then how to align it maybe using a right click function or the list window? I was recently splitting a region with the scissors tool and realized the region wasn't aligned by a very small amount because instead of the split resulting in 2 regions, it resulted in 3. So thats the strategy Im using but it requires a lot of zooming since usually the 3rd region is extremely small - what are your strategies? Thanks
  5. Awesome thank you. Is there a way to remove the option requirement in the key commands list or is this it?
  6. How would I go about inputting into the key command editor in logic x - the logic 9 "key command" where you click on the marker and drag down to zoom in?
  7. Thanks for your help, I know how to pull up the event list for notes etc. but not automation? In the link attached it doesn't give directions for how to do so Also, you are encountering the same behavior from LPX as well right? Compared to logic 9 it seems to be extremely sensitive to any vertical mouse movement
  8. Right but if I'm understanding correctly that wouldn't solve the problem - Id like it to default to off even when I press play, and only turn on when I press the button to activate it. Its a headache when I am trying to adjust midi in one section but I can only do so if it is playing through that section. You don't feel it as a problem at all? Maybe I am missing a workaround
  9. As the title says, I can't seem to find a way to default the blue marker tracker button to off. I would rather it default to off than to on.
  10. The automation in logic x changes value by a couple points just from clicking on it a lot of the time - for example, if I am trying to simply shift an automation progression back one bar, I can't seem to do this without it affecting the progression itself. Any of you know a keyboard modifier or sensitivity setting to work around this issue?
  11. I think I found a solution - the circling rainbow isn't actually endless when you insert plugin, just about a 10 minute wait, then save the project once it ends. And after that when you insert a plugin it works like normal. So far I have only added a few but they pulled up fine. I'll keep posted if the problem comes back
  12. The same thing was happening to me ever since I upgraded to Yosemite (mistake). I was forced to finally use LPX and that lagging issue is completely resolved. However, I do have a new issue with LPX where, in an LP9 project opened in LPX, no new plugins can be inserted without the infinite rainbow circle.
