  1. The 10.1 Release notes state: "Logic can now import multichannel interleaved audio files and convert them to individual mono files" Does anybody know how to do this? I'm not seeing any user defined options when attempting to import a 6-Channel (5.1) audio file. Thanks. -paul.
  2. Show your Automation. Select Track. Then Right + Click on Track Header - Delete Visible Automation. I believe the shortcut is: ⌃ ⌘ ⌦ -paul.
  3. Yup. Good point. Thanks for mentioning this. -paul.
  4. Thanks David. I'm aware of the Grouping option. The problem with this is it sort of cancels out one of the main advanatges of VCA's - making individual fader adjustments on VCA assigned tracks. You can't do this when the tracks are Grouped. I feel the Pro Tools VCA implementation is the best case scenario. You adjust the VCA and the assigned track faders move on a relative basis as well. I'm not discounting what apple has added. In fact I'm glad VCA's are now supported. Thanks again. -paul.
  5. I noticed that when assigning tracks to a new VCA, adjusting the VCA fader works as expected. However the Track Faders remain static. In Pro Tools when you adjust the VCA Fader, the Track Faders move as well while retaining their relative relationship. Am I missing a setting, or is this just apple's implementation? Thanks. -paul. Running LPX 10.1 on OSX 10.10.1
  6. I've noticed that when dragging out the tail of a Region in the Arrange view, the waveform included in the handle displays as you drag. However not the case when dragging out the head of the clip. Here's what I mean: http://f-video.s3.amazonaws.com/lpx-drag.mp4 Is this typical? If so what's the concept? Thanks. -paul.
  7. David, Thanks for checking. I tried this in a new (empty) project/new recording. Selections are fine in the Arrange window. When I expose the recorded region in the Track Editor, all is well UNTIL I press play/stop - and then attempt to make a new selection. It's almost as if the selection is attempting to snap to something before it engages and physically displays. I did try setting the Snap option in Arrange to off. Didn't make a difference in the Track Editor. Do you think it's possible I'm missing a setting that only affects the Track Editing features? Thanks again. -paul.
  8. Would someone be willing to try this and let me know if they experience the same behavior? ~ Open a piece of audio in the Track Editor. Make a few random selections with Marquee Tool. Then press Play, and stop after a few seconds. Then attempt to make a new random selection. This is where I begin to pick up the erratic selection behavior ... Thanks. -paul.
  9. I'm running the latest version of LPX on a MacPro (10.10.1), 16 gigs of RAM, 1 gig ATI card. The application runs well, except when I attempt to use the Marquee tool to make selections directly on a region (in a track) or in the "Track" Editor. After making a few smooth selections, the subsequent selections become erratic and very choppy. When you drag through the section area, there's a hesitation before the selection appears. This happens more frequently right after playback when stopping or pausing. Setting the Left Click Tool or the Command - Click Tool to Marquee eventually replicates the same erratic behavior after a certain amount of selections. The project is a basic test project with only a few tracks and a limited amount of clips. Is there anything that I can do to troubleshoot/correct this? I also run Pro Tools 11 and it runs well with no issues. Thanks. -paul.
  10. Hi, What's the Key Commands for nudging Automation Control Points? thx. LPX 10.0.7
  11. How do you have this set in Project Settings/Audio? -paul. http://f-video.s3.amazonaws.com/pls.jpg
  12. Guys, Thanks allot. I had MIDI unchecked in Advanced Tools. Thanks again. -paul.
  13. Sorry for the trouble, but I know how to create the Bus Channel. What I can't find is the option to "Open Midi Environment." It's missing from my Window Menu ... -paul.
