  1. Hi, I wanted to try out 8dio's products and bought one small sample library. The files never downloaded in their entirety and the product is so far unusable despite several tries. The company's solution was to access my compute and download remotely which I did not feel comfortable with. Has anyone else had experience with this company? They will not speak on the phone. They did try to be helpful in their emails but the files themselves seem to be corrupt. Should I just get a refund and try another company? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks.
  2. The blue on/off buttons just appeared....cansomeone tell me why? Thank you! C. Cole
  3. Hello, I am trying to work with the Score editor in Logic X. Very simple, one bass part, one single line piano part. Why can I not view them together on the Score page? Advanced tools is selected, I selected both tracks (regions). The manual doesn't seem to address this other than to say that of the Advanced Tools are selected, one would be able to view the whole score. I can't. Can anyone help????? Thanks, Carena
  4. Clicks at trimmed region points when using Flex pitch Hi, I just finished comping an audio track (vocal) and after trimming and joining audio regions, I notice a click at the end of the trimmed regions. No matter where I trim, there is a click. Also, when I used Flex pitch on the vocal this seems to exacerbate the noises. I am running the vocal through the Apollo Quad interface and the Millenia mic pre. Is it possible that the sample rate settings of either the Apollo or Logic X would cause this? I am recording at 44.1 with a 512 buffer at 24 bit depth. Thank you for any help you can offer! Carena
  5. Hello again, Eric! Thanks for your response. I am wondering of I am misguided in my setting up the multi instruments as multi outs. The reason I am doing that is do that I can automate each track separately and/or use separate sends for reverb and delay on specific tracks. I am self-taught as far as recording & engineering go so if you see that I am in error here please feel free to tell me! How;s winter in Sweden?" We are freezing here tonight in Connecticut, USA!
  6. Hi! I am setting up both Omnisphere and Stylus RMX in a Logic X custom template and I have questions about handling the multi output assignments. I have 8 channels of Omnisphere routed thru midi channels 1-8 with a Master track set to all midi channels. Now, I have set up Stylus RMX and routed it's 8 channels to midi channels 9-16 The Master track is also set to all. Have I done this correctly? Thanks for any help you can provide! Carena
  7. Thanks Eric, I am always looking for easier ways to do things. I will check out your method! I have been to Sweden in the winter and I know how dark it gets. Spring IS coming..........! Bye for now! Carena
  8. Oh for heaven's sake, I just realized I was not right-clicking properly..............you're right. It works just fine. Ooopps! Well, thank you so much for your time and trouble. I hope it is not as cold in Sweden as it is here in NY, USA. Carena
  9. The reason I called it multi-output and not multi timbral is that in the set up directions I was advised not to choose mulit-timbral in the initial new software instrument window but when choosing Omnisphere in the channel strip, to choose multi-output. It is multi-channel with a master track that In am trying to set up. I never had a problem in LP9 but I'm a little stumped in X. Thank you Eric, for your help.
  10. Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to do!
  11. Hello Eric, Thanks for your reply. I do have all the Advanced Boxes checked in Preferences. Any other possibilities? Carena
  12. Hi, I've just upgraded from LP9 to X and I am in the process of setting up Spectrasonics Omnisphere as a multi output instrument. (So I can automate each of the 8 tracks separately; this always worked well in LP9) In LP9 I was able to right-click on each instrument channel to re-assign to the MIDI object I created in the Environment window. In LPX I don't seem to have this option so I'm stumped in the middle of the process. The path I followed in LP9 was: Inst 2 > (right-click) > Reassign Track > Mixer > Omnisphere > Channel 2 etc. I did go to the track header in the inspector and change each midi channel there but I'm not sure if that is the correct replacement for the path I followed in LP9. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you!! Carena
  13. Hi, My default tool has reset to Text instead of Pointer. I tried COMMAND CLICK but it won't reset. What am I doing wrong? Haven't figured out how to write the signature. In an huge hurry so here it is. Logic Pro 9 Mac OSX 10.6.8 Quad Core Intel Xeon Motu 2408 Interface Thanks for any help you can offer. C. Cole
  14. Hi, I had a window pop up during a session today, telling me that a new SMPTE code had been found..........(?) The window only gave me 2 options Cancel or OK. Every time I hit Cancel, the box reappeared. I could not get it to go away. As I was not about to stall my session I decided to click OK and deal with it later, (I'm not using SMPTE at the moment) . Well, later has come and essentially what I am seeing that at 1111, the time code now reads 00:50:00:00.00. Not sure why this happened in the first place. Can anyone tell me how to restore this back to the original setting? I do need to time the piece I'm working on. Thank you! C. Cole
  15. Hi, I had assigned the piano roll edit page to Screenset 5 and used 5 on the numeric keypad to get there. For some reason, only one particular track comes up in P Roll edit when I click on 5. Not the track I actually have highlighted fro editing. Can anyone tell me how to get out of this? Also, the edit event list used to show up on my second screen (I am using 2 screens) and that has now disappeared. I can still access the P Roll edit window by double clicking on the region but I want my keystroke back!! Thanks for any advice!
