  1. Latency is ok with effects. Whats troubling about parallel processing is when you use parallel compression or distortion. Its nasty.
  2. Unfortunately, this is one thing that i dont like about logic. Its latency compensation. Its far from perfect. Sometimes you have to stop playback and press play again just to refresh some plugins compensation. Also there will be phase issue with parallel processing because of plugin latency in logic. Protools and Cubase is perfect in this aspect.
  3. Well after 2 years im coming back to this thread because import session data in Logic X is far from perfect. I can perfectly import the audio files but if: 1. Audio files is in diff tempo will not lock to grid or say a warning 2. It cant perfectly keep all the I/O setting (def. Important because I have a complex template)
  4. Thank you so much! This did the trick!
  5. Where can I find that? Thanks!
  6. Soooo.. I managed to perfect it. Until in the middle of mapping this happened: please help! I restarted my mac and even rebuild defaults on midi settings and key commands.
  7. Ohh so you have to select it first. Might try that. Thanks!
  8. So for example: I map out this SSL plugin to the controller completely and is inserted on Audio 1. If i insert another SSL on audio 2 the mapping will hold? What happens is that when I map it in audio 1 ( it only works in audio 1 and it holds within that audio 1 channel only ) when i insert another ssl on audio 2 its not mapped out. Weird.
  9. Uhmm. I know how to map properly. I just want a way, if there is a way that a mapped out plugin will stay that way regardless of whatever channel I put it.
  10. Hi Guys! I want to permanently map out an SSL plugin to a controller. I have managed to do that via: 1. Midi Controller Assignments 2. Smart Controls The problem with: 1. ( Midi Map ) - It is per channel only. so when you put another plugin on another channel it wont stick. 2. ( Smart Control ) - This is saved as a patch, so this wont stick everytime you open just the plugin. You have to open the entire patch which is a bummer if you have another plugin on the chain and you just want to control that SSL plugin. Now, is there any workaround with this? I just want something like "Automap" so that I can control that certain plugin whenever I put in on my inserts. Thanks!
  11. Logic is weird. Sometimes I have to stop the playback and play it again before the delay compensation kick in. Also weird when doing safe solo on tracks since I input monitor on an audio track not using bounce unless its a film/clip score. Logic wont solo. Then I removed the solo safe then turn it on again, it worked. Very weird. I also punch in when recording takes, and its all in the take folder so I can comp later. But sometimes it goes too messy that things overlap and they dont merge as one when recording. Lol.
  12. yeah. Sorry. I didnt know the exact term since im a rush to think. Lol. Anyways, yeah basically I made it stereo format, so i inserted a stereo plugin which works. Mono to stereo plugins dont work for me.
  13. ohh yeah. You are right. Well maybe this latest Sierra is acting up. Well thats basically a stereo when I click the mono to stereo on the top of the channel strip. Lol. well maybe my mono to stereo is not working. Weird. Well anyways, I finished the mix already using the workaround above.
  14. i found a workaround. you should manually click mono to stereo on top of the channel strip so it would process both channels. lol. Why logic?
  15. I posted an attachment of the screenshot. As you can see, If I put a mono to stereo plugin into a mono track ( in this instance - a compressor ). Only the left channel is being processed. I dont know why. Help????
