  1. Actually the HD meter is pumping time to time but the real problem is the "disk is too slow" messages. Perhaps I just have to test another harddrive as the WD Mybook is those stupid energymodels and I have to use disksomnia to keep it wake...Maybe thats causing something, i dont know...
  2. Haha. This is almost the same problem I have, with only difference that my WD Mybook is connected via USB. I have noticed that the HD spikes go away every time when I "save as" the project and start to work with the new one. So weird. Example if I bounce couple of files into project, it starts to get hd spikes. After "save as" the project will work fine again, until I bounce or export some more audio in it. I have like 80% of the storage left in the external drive. One problem can be my iMac's usb as all the connections are working in the same bandwidth. Especially with the NI Maschine the problem occur more often... Your are lucky as you have this problem only with some project, I have this with every one....although this has been occurring more commonly
  3. If you decide to wait the M-Audio's driver update, you are probably in the year 2018 Hope you get it to work with existing drivers as I had...
  4. When using Logic's automation I face the GUI hiccups all the time. Is this just a major bug or do I have any solution to avoid it?
  5. Totally agree with you...Actually I started a similar thread couple of days ago I know, it won't change anything. I just must admit that I'm becoming angry with it, especially as the program is alredy a 6 months old and totally lacking some basic things. Now is really a time to fix all the MAJOR problems...or least some horrible GUI problems. BTW. Actually almost every thread in here is about some bug in LPX...or how to change or install the ultimate GALACTIC-API-NEVE-BLUE-BROWN-GREEN-theme
  6. Actually I'm a first time user so I don't have the choice to downgrade to L9. Or do I? Anyhow, a one big update to LPX and we have a winner...
  7. Yes, I'm definitely not dissing the product but just wondering things I really like the Logic. I know that they did 4 updates and thats nice, altough two of them were just some basic polishing. Funny that you are having problems only related to 3rd party plugins. I don't have any problems with my plugins, but only with the GUI, snaps, automation, editing etc. Oh, so many weird problems...
  8. Maybe this is not a perfect subject for a totally new thread but I'm really waiting the update for LPX. I'm almost starting to loose my mind with all these bugs. Couple of moths ago I decided to be patience with X and just give it some time to get better. Hmph, time is going and the MAJOR update is still missing. Do you guys have any information about this or perheps some guesses when it might be coming out? Or is this just normal to Apple/Logic to leave things half baked?
  9. I have this exact same problem in Logic X as well. The i/o plugin is working at the beginning of my work but after I do my basic things with the Daw, the plugin losts its connectiong. And nothing is working after that. I have no idea why this is occurring and I havent noticed any similarities when searching the problem...Just annoying. Only way to get it working again is closing the LPX. BTW. This problem is not with my external reverb which is connected via RME UFX's AES (spdif), only with basic external hardware connected to analog ins and outs of my interface...
  10. Why to make it so complicated ? Just make a new audio track with the same kick sample etc, and change the output of the track to no output. Keep the volume at 0db. Now you have a "ghost kick" for sidechaining your instruments and so on...
  11. I have that problem also, and nearly every time...Very annoying.
  12. Finally. Problem was the damn midisport interface. I changed to Motu 128 express and now everything is working sooo perfectly, and also the annoying midi jitter is gone as well. Man, that midisport is s#!+. Its 2 years old so maybe no change for any kind of reclamation...Anyhow, a very important problem is now solved and I can go further with my music and workflow. Thanks for your help guys!
  13. Do you guys have any idea how the Macs midi traffic works? I mean why the basic midi track works fine with all of my external synths but not with external plugin. I just don't understand...like Is the route someway different? Anyhow many thanks for your help at the first place!
  14. I tried the control surfaces and there was no difference. David, this problem occur with every external synths I have and only with external inst plugin setup. I'm becoming more and more convinced that the problem is the midisport as things works just fine with my UFX audio interface. Basically if I just change the midi cable to ufx and to external synth I get no feedback loop at all. The ufx is connected with fireface... I'm just concerned if the problem is my iMac's usb ports which are probably all in the same circuit - hope not. . Anyhow I'm testing the Motu 128 express tomorrow...
  15. Midi destinations are set to same as in AMS, so I can choose the right midi setup by name. And the midi channel is allways the synths correct channel, not "all". Yes, thats correct. All the external synths are only cabled to midi in on the midisport. Only Voyager is in and out as well because I use the special editor for it. I dont understand why everything works if I use a basic GM midi / audio track combo to play my synth but not with the external instrument plugin. I think the connection works as I hear sounds but the midi is only stucking notes and monophonic sounds.... These midi things drives me grazy as they are very often so hard to solve and the problem can be everywhere. BTW. I noticed that the separate floating piano roll shows all the played notes...if there's any use for it
