  1. Hey there! Which version of Mix Control are you running? You'll need to ensure you have 3.4 from our website - Focusrite.com/downloads When you load Mix Control, click file>Restore Factory Defaults. With the Saffire selected as the main output in Logic, do you get any signal now? All the best, Miles
  2. Hi DDDeckard, This seems odd. So a completely different kind of noise now, only present on ADAT 4? It might be best if you contact us directly at Supportteam@focusrite.com. If you could reference this thread and also send a short video of the problem (so we can hear the issue too), it might help our understanding. In regards to the routing, the Pro 40's channels are laid out as so; 1-8 - Analogue 9-10 - SPDIF 11-18 - ADAT 19-20 - Loopback Therefore, ADAT Channel 1 will appear on channel 11 in Logic, not channel 9. Best, Miles
  3. Hi Dddeckard, This sounds like an issue with your clock/sync setup. Firstly, ensure the OctoPre is set to clock 'internal'. Then, go to Saffire Mix Control and change the sync source to 'ADAT'. Of course, ensure you have matching sample rates. You will probably see your Locked lights flickering but after you apply these settings, you should have a stable connect without clicks and pops! If not, let me know and we can look into this further! All the best, Miles
  4. Hi guys, With our current range of Saffire interfaces, we would recommend the following for connecting to Thunderbolt; A firewire 400-800 cable (under 2 meters in length). I've found the following cable to work well with my Pro 40; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neet%C2%AE-FireWire-Cable-IEEE-1394b/dp/B00316V6LW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1403777624&sr=8-4&keywords=firewire+400-800 Then use the official Apple Firewire 800-Thunderbolt adaptor. For stability, we would not recommend any third-party Thunderbolt adaptors as we have seen some reports of unstability/unsatisfactory results with third-party adaptors. Hope this helps! Miles
  5. Hi Sterling, From the sounds of it, you will need each individual output assigned to a stereo bus, IE the VB3 needs to be sent to outputs 3+4 in Mainstage. Then, to route this physically out of outputs 3+4 in Mix Control, ensure 3 is set to DAW 3 and 4 is set to DAW 4. You can repeat this for however many instruments you have. Let me know if you need anymore assistance with this! Miles
  6. Hi guys, Daddee1066, please go to Mix Control, go to file>Reset to factory default. Then go to Routing Presets in Mix Control and Select DAW Tracking. You should have headphone outputs and line level outs now. If not, can you provide me with an email address/case number from your contact with our US team? I may be able to get someone to contact you ASAP. Best, Miles
  7. Hi guys, I'd like to echo what Triplets said. We've seen very few cases of aggregate devices working together in harmony...very few successful results. If anything, I'd recommend connecting your Pro 14 with something else from the Saffire range, for example using the Pro 40 and Pro 14 - these can be used in Dual Unit mode and is stable. hope this helps. Best, Miles
  8. Hi all, As mentioned above, this could possibly be gain staging, environmental factors...pretty tough to say. It'd probably help shine some light on this if you were able to try different cable/mic/computer to see if this changes the hiss at all. Have you emailed the support team at all? Best, Miles
  9. Hi guys, Yeah, as suggested, you could pan or do some routing in Mix Control. I mean, you do have quite a few more than 2 outputs here I'd go into MIx Control and set 1 & 2 to your DAW outputs (or Mix 1), then use Mix 3/DAW outputs 3/4 to route your click out independently to a headphone amp. Alternatively, you could send your click to 7&8 for a direct headphone output. Hope this helps! Miles
  10. Hi, All of the initial issues have now been truly ironed out now. The idea behind class compliant is ease of use - A new customer for the Scarlett range will only have to download Mix Control (or no driver at all in the instance of smaller interfaces). At the end of the day, Apple's audio drivers are always going to be more stable with their own hardware than a third party driver. The other issues eg Mix Control crashing/Interface not being detected are now fixed and will be put forward for release ASAP. Hope this clears some things up. All the best, Miles
  11. Hi all! Yeah, as everyone else has said, get your 2i2 running in Class Compliant mode - you can download this focusrite.com/downloads Also, try downloading OSX10.9.2 from the App Store. If you still have issues, let me know! Cheers, Miles
  12. Hi Guys, This seems to be a bit of a weird one ay! Seems like that if you are getting a good recording through Audacity but not through Logic, we're missing something here... Can you get in touch with us through email and we will troubleshoot into this further? http://uk.focusrite.com/answerbase/contact Cheers, Miles // Focusrite Technical Support
  13. Hi Fuberto, There is absolutely no different in performance/sound when the 2i2 is in either of these modes. All that changes is the way your Mac communicates with the 2i2. Good to hear your 2i2 is working well! Miles
  14. Hi Tris, ADAT inputs on the LS56 will come in on 11 onwards. Inputs 9-10 are dedicated to S/PDIF inputs. So does the OctoPre channels appear on 11 onwards? Let me know how you get on. Miles
  15. Hi Guys, The 2i2 inputs can be clipped, even with a low gain setting on the interface, if the input source is particularly 'hot'. There are a couple of work arounds to prevent this kind of clipping: 1. Turn down the volume control on your instrument slightly. 2. Place the input type switch from 'Instrument' to 'Line' 3. If the above 2 solutions do not resolve the issue, try plugging your instrument into a DI box and then take an XLR from the DI into your interface with source set as 'line' Hope this helps! Cheers, Miles.
