  1. Hi. Can anyone tell me why my main pointer in Piano Roll defaults to Velocity? This is recent behaviour. TIA Jay
  2. SOLVED. I had the velocity tool selected - something I otherwise never use. Jay
  3. Hi. The problem I submitted above is project specific. Other projects don't do this. Jay
  4. Hi. I am re-working some old projects. I find that I can't enter MIDI Draw data - I have a pointer with a V underneath in the MIDI Draw pane - I don't know if I've ever seen that before but anyway, I got it now. I can alter previously entered data (e.g. modulation or note velocity) but I can't enter new parameters (e.g. expression). And expression is what I need to use because all my Sample Modeling plug-ins need a hit of expression data to function. Can anyone throw any light on this please? TIA Jay
  5. Got it!!! Thanks guys. And a Happy New Year to everyone. Jay
  6. Hi. On the score page, whenever I make a new region on a track it defaults to piano instead of continuing with the clef selection I made earlier. This means I have to go through and redo them all, which is a time-wasting pain in the neck on large scores with many tracks. Does anyone know of a solution to this? TIA Jay
  7. Hi Dave The bx stereo spreader needed activating. Done that - all is OK now. Thanks again, Jay
  8. Hi Dave Yes indeed. It's the bx stereo spreader. I'll try to troubleshoot that. Funny thing is that when you split the output channel as I described, the plug-ins all vanish. Odd!! But thanks for the fix and well spotted!! Grateful as always, Jay
  9. Here are both screenshot and project file: Jay
  10. Thanks David for your prompt reply. It's set to Output 1-2 (Stereo Output). There are no options to change this - click on it and it goes blue and gets a tick in front of the legend. There is also the word Mirroring underneath. Jay
  11. Hi I have the following problem which I hope someone can help me with: I have just replaced my 2012 5.1 Mac Pro with another (2010) as my one died. The replacement machine is bare-bones and I have stuffed it with my drives, memory and processor. Everything works fine with this exception:- In LPX I get no stereo out (and no signal at the Stereo Out channel meter). However, if I split the Stereo Out channel at the top (the double-O symbol). This opens an adjacent channel - called Output 2. Then I get stereo - it isn't dual mono and channels pan across L and R as normal. I’ve never had to do this before. I can’t find anything obvious in Audio Preferences. I’m currently using the Mac’s line-in and line-out as I have a separate problem with my Focusrite Saffire I/O. I’m sure it must be something simple. Can anyone shed light on this please. TIA, Jay
  12. Hi Guys - I've solved it!!!! You can't add a new track if there isn't a region in it. I had created new tracks in the main window and wanted to add them to the score set before doing anything with them. You have to have a region (even empty) before it will be visible in the score itself although you have entered it and it appears in the "show score sets" pane. It won't appear in the score until you have a region in it. One of those boring quirks of the system. Meanwhile, many thanks for your help> And best wishes. Jay
  13. Here is a compressed version of a project:
  14. Hi Atlas007 and Volovicg Further to my last post: when I view "show score sets" I can see the tracks I have added and if I rename them in the main window they follow the change in the score set. But they don't appear in the score itself. I can find nothing in score preferences and I can't think of anything I may have changed accidentally.
