  1. hi Eric, i'm sorry i dont think i understood your advice. It seems that would still put it not quite at 432hz. That would be 431.8. Thanks
  2. Hi thanks for considering this. I do have that enabled. Turns out my audio interface had a setting where it was sending all input to Mixer. When I changed that setting to only send output to "DAW mix" then it performed as I wish. Thanks for your response.
  3. Hi all, I have a mic in front of my guitar amp. In Logic, I have effects on this track and wish to only hear the effected guitar (100% wet). But instead, i'm hearing the raw mic input from the amp (which is very clean). Even if I close Logic I still hear the live mic enabled coming through audio interface (Scarlett 18i8). I wish to only hear the mic input when record-enable is engaged. Gratitude for anyone who can help me understand what I am missing.
  4. The other befuddling aspect of this channel strip setting is that Pan isn't working as expected and just remains straight center with no effect panning left or right.
  5. Hi all, when I chose a setting from the Library to apply settings to my track, say Voice>Vintage Vocal, it creates a track with a arrow dropdown button, which when clicked reveals three tracks beneath: Vintage Vocal, Plate Send, Spring Reverb. Can someone please point me to where I can learn more about this. What is this feature? The problem I'm experiencing is that I can't turn off Record for these tracks. I click to disable record but it stays on. And then when I start recording on another track, the record arm turns back on and I start recording over my track. The solution I've come up with is I drag just the top track of the Track stack and then it behaves as I'd expect. Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong. Thank you kindly.
  6. Dear friends, I'm experiencing a challenging situation when trying to tune midi to be in tune with my 432hz guitar tracks. Using File>Project Settings>Tuning, I can reduce the tune -32 cents, which brings it to 431.9. Which sounds ok, but it's weird that I can't get it perfectly to 432. But the problem I'm experiencing is that my recorded midi tracks, which once sounded decent, suddenly become wildly out of tune. Using the Tuning option again, I start experimenting and it seems that I can return it to sounding decent if I bring the tune down more cents, to 430, or lower. Can anyone kindly help me understand what I'm doing wrong? At this point it seems to me that trying to work with audio in anything other than 440 is a major pain in the butt. I'd be very happy to discover an easy way to work with alternate tuning. Thank you kindly.
  7. David, you mention displaying the two rulers, that's exactly what I'd like to do. But I don't see how to do that? To see time, I understand you can go to Project Setting > Tempo > turn off "Use Musical Grid". But if I do that I no longer see the Bars and Measures. Would love to know how to retain both like Ableton Live offers with a quick right click to "View Time". Thanks.
  8. I'm looking to do same thing. I think that option may have been available on Logic 9 when there was an Arrange window, but I don't see any option in main window on Logic X. Thanks in advance if anyone knows and can share.
  9. Thanks David! That absolutely solved my issue. I zoomed in much more than it had been and then dragging around worked exactly as expected. Big thanks.
  10. Hi all, I am having an issue with the comping functionality of Logic X and suspect that I might be totally lame-braining something really simple, but have done much research and watched tutorials and can't figure it out. I have recorded many takes and am now expecting to be able to click the "picnic table" icon in the take folder to be able to enter Quick Swipe mode and begin creating my comp. I expect to be able to drag the vertical line cursor across sections of takes that I wish to be part of my comp. At which time the takes would turn from grey to highlighted in blue. I also expect to be able to click any of the takes and have that take now be in blue, as the take selected for playback. (See screenshot for example) Instead, no comp is created, when I click and drag it just moves the positioning grid lines. All the takes remain grey. Also, when I click the header expecting to find options to Flatten, and or Merge, etc, those don't appear. Big thanks for your help. I am using Logic Pro X 10.0.6 on a new MacBook Pro.
