I have noticed a lot of people saying on the internets that Logic never crashes for them. I on the other hand experience a crash every 4 hours or less. I usually work from a basic project. I open it and immediately do a Save As and give it the name of whatever tune I am working on that day. I have a lot of tunes. The base project has about 15 tracks and there are about a half a dozen virtual instruments, Logic guitar settings from the library, Logic electric bass settings from the library, an EXS24 with some electronic drum samples called up, and that is about it.
The crashes typically happen when I am recording audio. I think the most often scenario is that I use undo a lot! So I record a punch in and if I screw it up then I just undo it. That might happen a few times. And I might have several punch ins to do. Then at some point, Logic will just vanish from the computer.
That is not the only scenario, just the plurality scenario--maybe 30% of the time.
Now somebody was saying that often crashes are caused by third party plugins. But the thing is, the crashes have been happening from day 1, actually day 2 or 3, and I didn't have any third party plugins in the beginning.
You can see the system below. Any idea what the cause is? I thought that crashes where endemic to Logic, but now I am starting to wonder whether there is something wrong with my set up.
