Hello all. I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem and please forgive my lack of knowledge in explaining. I have logic pro 9 and 10 and about 2 months ago I installed a plugin (ArtsAcoustic reverb). All of a sudden it is not in my effects chain on the left of the screen, but it is on the output side. How do I get it back to the input side. Thank you so much for any help in this matter. Ed

Ok thanks. I am struggling to get my sound like this, So this guy uses the same apogee, and guitar, and use logic also. So how does he get such a clear, clean, crisp, full sound? And mine isn't even close to this. It must be obvious what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your help. This is me playing the same song,

Ok. Pardon my lack of knowledge, but are you referring to 2 or more copied tracks? Copy and paste them to new tracks? The music that I play would be hard to nail the timing more than once. Thanks.

Ok does anybody know of a link that can help me from beginning to end? Ok so I plug my guitar into a apogee duet 2 and into my macbook, ( do I need a di box for better sound?). Ok so I record my guitar track with the levels not peaking. After I do this I tweak EQ and adjust compression and or limiting. I have played with stereo delay, reverb, and stereo spread, but I can't get the professional stereo sound I am looking for. This is pretty much what I am doing. Now the sound I am getting is ok, but I just feel that it is not that professional sounding or full. Does anything stand out to anybody that I am clearly not doing something? I will try to post a clip of a recording,but if it doesn't work I would appreciate if you can look me up on YouTube. My user name is EDLIFT but you might also have to add bass guitar. Thank you all for your kind remarks and your comments. Omm I am kinda lost on some of the stuff that you said to do, lol. A bit over my head. I think I need to take a course, lol. But thank you soo much for your help. I am really just looking for a fuller sound. I just made this new video, any thoughts on sound improvements? Didn't really change much though. EQ a little bit. Thank you for that in depth answer. I keep all tonal controls off when I record. Yes I use the bus from send. I heard that is good for stereo sounds. That correct? I try to get a full sound with just compression and EQ but I am never satisfied. I use the only stereo effect from the drop down, I forget off hand what it's called, sorry. How does the recording sound to you?

Hello all. I am pretty new to this forum, and not too sure where to put this question. Well here goes. I run a piccolo strung bass guitar into a apogee duet 2, into my MacBook into Logic Pro 9. I record solo compositions, so just one track of the bass. I am not really that happy with any of the mixing a that I have made. I usually do compression first, then EQ, then reverb. But the sound just doesn't sound even close to what I expect from this program. Doesn't quite sound as full and kinda sounds tinny. I know your thinking that it could be my editing and you might be right, but I play around ALOT. And it is not even that close to what I expect. Do you guys have any tips or tricks of things I could do? I also do the stereo imaging I think it's called, and I bus the track 2 times and bring the levels to 0db and then adjust all levels to sound good with no clipping. Thanks for any help. Ed
