  1. Hey all... Is there a way of taking the automatic symbol crash out of the drummer regions every time the previous region ends with fill? I tend to split my drummer regions into 2 or 4 bars to edit certain elements to make them sound more realistic but every time one region has a fill at the end I can't seem to start the next region without a symbol crash. Is there a way of getting rid of this so that it goes straight to the normal beat without the crash still in "drummer region mode"??? The only way I can think of to get round this is to convert to midi and manually delete the crash? Thoughts?
  2. Thanks David, I did both of these and the CPU and HD were nearly maxing out when in play back... s as advised I pushed the buffer right up and hey presto... no more crackling. Thanks so much. I know this sort of thing seems very basic when you know but to me this is just another little tool learnt in the long and winding audio recording world... thanks again.
  3. Hey All, A bit of technical help guidance required if possible. When finalising mixes I hear a crackling sound during playback. I assume that this is due to the processor being over worked with the 20-30 tracks of audio and midi data and plug ins so I wondered if anyone could advise how I could stop this crackling? Also, is there a way of bouncing a track with its audio being processed with all plug ins so that once I've bounced I can then remove all plug ins and thus free up some processor capabilities? Sorry if there is a very obvious solution to this but I'm not the most technically gifted IT man... If I bounce in place and a new wave region is created; does this audio have all plug in effects saved in it? Cheers Joe
  4. Hey All.... Really need some help here before I lose the will... I'm spending hours trudging through the Logic Library to find something exactly the same or as close to as possible to the synth that is used on this Foals song. The sound I want is the higher note synth that goes left to right on the beginning... Any ideas on how I can emulate this exact sound would be massively appreciated. I tried the flutes in Mellotron but doesn't seem right Thanks

  6. Thank you... I really need someone help in telling me what the effect is in the below track... If you could have a listen and let me know your thoughts it would be massively appreciated as I am losing hours and hours trudging through the logic library but haven't come close yet... Its the higher note that swirls left to right I'm looking to emulate.
  7. Hey all, I have recently purchased the Waves Doubler plug in but for some reason I can't get it to show under my "Waves" plug in library when I'm in Logic. All other plugs I've got from Waves including CLA and H Reverb show but the Doubler isn't there even though I installed them using the same method. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? I've contact Waves support but have been waiting nearly 4 days now and haven't had a response. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Cheers!
  8. cheers... all sorted... thanks for your help
  9. Hi all, Really need some help here. I've tried all previous tips to get the Mellotron up in Logic Pro but can't get it to work. Has anyone else had these problems? I'm on 10.2 Does anyone know what steps I can go through to get it working? I've installed it from additional content, tried the opening a new software tract method... but still no Mellotron? Help!!!!!! please
  10. What effect or plug in can I use in logic to get that pulsing bass sound for the Middle? I'm currently using a bass synth whilst I record all my parts but when I get down to mixing I want to replicate the pulse bass on this foals track. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is use volume automation but I don't think this would have the right boomy effect
  11. Thank you for taking your time to look at this for me... I've not been able to get an exact copy of the sound but I agree with you, its more important how they have mixed it. I've used a synth pad for the Left to right effect and need to find a bass effect to work the volume coordination to apply to the arrival in the left/right channels.
  12. Ive downloaded all additional content but can't see the mellotron flutes???? Any ideas?
  13. Thanks so much... The tremolo works perfecto... just waiting for my additional content to download and then I'll try the mellotron flutes. cheers.
  14. Hey all, I am looking to find a sound very similar to the synth track on the song below. I can't find the right sound in the logic pro x library as yet but was wondering if anyone can help me find this exact sound to use?? The song is called "Give it all" by Foals. Also, the synth sound in this song moves across the stereo from right to left and I want to emulate this too but can only think that using Pan automation can achieve the effect. Is there a stock plug in that I could use to achieve the same? Any help would be massively appreciated. Cheers, Joe
  15. Hey, Having been a Logic user for pretty much a year I now want to start building a library of third party plugins to use within Logic. I've tried to download a number of free plugins and am about to purchase a vocal specific plugin. While on this topic, when searching for vocal plugins, the only one that seems to come up is CLA... can anyone recommend other good plug ins for vocals? Mainly though I am struggling to find any help with regards to get these plugins set up on my Mac and how I can access these to use via Logic... Can anyone send me a link or guided advice as to how I can do this? Cheers Joe
