  1. Hi Eric, My Sample Rate is 44.1kHz and I'm recording at 24-bit.
  2. Hi Guys, I have a problem with Flex Pitch in ONE of my projects and I'm unable to fix it. Scenario: I have a vocal track with Flex Mode off. As soon as I switch on Flex Mode, the pitch of the vocal drops by an octave or so. If I turn Flex Mode off again, it returns to normal. Funny thing is as well, (with Flex Mode turned on), I right-click and select "Set All To Original Pitch" and all is well. Question: Why is Logic behaving this way? Is there a setting for this or something? It's messing with my flow. PS: I now have 10.0.7. Will update my Profile shortly. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks everyone for helping me out with this one. Eric: Thanks for your feedback as well. I've achieved the same results by automating other parameters, as you've mentioned. However, I do think that since every plugin comes with an On/Off switch, it would make sense to have this parameter automatable at a plugin level as opposed to its Channel Strip position only. Thanks again all. Much appreciated.
  4. OK Everyone, I've upgraded but the problem persists. However, #ValliSoftware, your screenshot helped a lot. I can now better explain the problem and see if you guys concur. So, I get the behaviour that you guys are getting in terms of the Automation moving with the Effect, when the Automation is tied to the Plugin directly. However, when I drop down the automation parameter and select Main -> Insert #1 Bypass (See attached screenshot), for example, that automation gets tied to the Plugin's Position as opposed to the Plugin itself. See attached screenshot for how to get to this and check if the same happens for you guys. My objective is to switch the plugin On and Off. Is there another way to do this perhaps as opposed to the way I'm doing it? #ValliSoftware I see in your screenshot you have On Off indicators in your automation lane whereas mine says: Bypassed. I'm just wondering why this would be different, ie, if you're also bypassing/switching the Effect on and off? Thanks all.
  5. Thanks everyone for your time, effort and insightful comments. I will definitely upgrade and post back here. Cheers.
  6. Hi Eric, Thanks for the tip on my Signature, I've complete the details. Eric: I have tied this on a new project, the automation definitely does not follow. it seems as if the automation is tied to the position in the Channel Strip as opposed to the actual Plugin. it automated whatever plugin happens to be in that position. Any advice? Atlass007: Please find my specs in my signature. Thanks guys.
  7. Hi Everyone, Here's my scenario: I have 4 Insert Effects on a Channel Strip with Automation on all of them. I've then added an Insert Effect between Insert 1 and 2, which effectively now makes Inserts 2, 3 and 4; 3, 4 and 5 from an Audio FX position point of view. The problem I have is that the Automation for these Inserts stayed on the the original position of the Insert Effects, meaning that the Automation is still for Insert #, 2, 3 and 4 as opposed to the new Insert Position 3, 4 and 5. I hope this is making sense. Please advise if this is a bug in Logic or if I'm doing something wrong. Alternatively, how can I move the Automation to the Relocated Insert effect. Thanks.
  8. Brilliant. Makes sense. Thanks. I get it now.
  9. Hi All, I've seen many people make a fuss of a new Logic Pro X 10.0.7 feature: Feature Item: A new MIDI Project Setting allows MIDI CC 7 (volume) and MIDI CC 10 (pan) messages to control the instrument plug-in instead of the channel strip. Can someone please explain to me why this is important and how it can be applied. I'm trying to find practical examples of how this can be used. Please assist. I want to make full use of Logic, and this is bugging me. Thanks.
  10. Hey David, I thought I'd just say "Thank You". I also believe I speak on behalf of many whose problems and questions you answer so tirelessly. This post solved my same problem now with Logic Pro X, 6 years after the original post. Don't stop man. We appreciate you. Cheers.
