  1. Try: HD > Library > Application Support > Logic > Logic Pro X Demosongs
  2. Bluedog, did you click on the "Get MacOS Sierra" link halfway down the page in the link provided by triplets? Did it open in the App Store? If so, what did it say? I just tried it myself and it got me to the Sierra download page. If you had trouble with the other link, try this more direct link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-sierra/id1127487414?mt=12
  3. I'm talking about the application file only, which is a couple of GB. If you've already downloaded the full sound library you've got over 60 GB and this can be reinstalled if necessary, but I've never had an issue. If you download a newer version of LPX you will have the option of installing additional or updated sounds as desired.
  4. As previously suggested, make a copy of your current version of Logic, then either compress it into a .zip file or rename it Logic Pro X 10.2.2. You can move this onto your desktop if you'd like. This will preserve your 10.2.2 version, which you can drag back into your applications folder after updating. I currently have three versions of LPX in my applications folder (10.2.4, 10.3.2, and 10.4.1) and can use any one of them at any time. When you update LPX in the App Store it will not let you install a version incompatible with your OS, and should offer you the latest compatible version. See this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7881698
  5. Thank you, David. Following your guidelines I downloaded and installed 10.3.1 and it worked like a charm! Incidentally, I couldn't help but notice that your list did not include 10.3.1. Is there a reason why you do not have 10.3.1 installed?
  6. Just curious. I'm running 10.2.4.....if I wanted to install 10.3.1 on the same (internal) HD how would I do that without updating my current version? Do I temporarily remove 10.2.4 from the applications folder and return it following installation of 10.3.1? Do the two versions require separate sound libraries or do they share?
  7. Yes, you can buy Logic Express 9 or Logic Pro 9 as part of Logic Studio, which will be a lot more expensive. You can find them on amazon or e-bay.
  8. oxband, as you've learned on the other forum, pedal steel is a tough instrument to emulate well (at least without resorting to a plugin.) However, I think Jangus did a pretty nice job with the acoustic guitars and I would also suggest downloading the legacy content for Logic Pro and trying out the dobro slide instrument in the Rhythm Section Jam Pack. Just get creative and work that pitch bend wheel.
  9. jerrydpi, As mentioned, zooming in will allow for more precise region shifting, but if you don't want to zoom in you can also just select the region and, without releasing the mouse, press on the control key and drag.
  10. lip5016, do you have legacy instruments installed? That's where I find the blues harp preset.
