  1. Ok, I have gotten the saples how I want them, assigned to the keys and assigned a bunch of faders and knobs to them for my delight. I hit record and chopped my sample up real nice with some pitch varriations and lots of modulation. But when I played it back, all I got was a slight beginning of each note and no karate with the pads. It was almost like my computer said "I didn't quite get all that" like it was too loaded to record all the inputs and perimeter changes. I over-ran the audio engine three times before that. Have I reached maximum capacity of my computer? Could I just bounce the rest of the project to one or two channels of audio and be ok? Or is something still not right in the settings?
  2. Now, thats one hurdle. Here is the next: How do I add more samples to that exs24? I keep making separate sampler tracks when i want to add more to this one. I really appreciate your patience. :>(
  3. No sound. Everything setup how you said it would. But no sound. Logic knows Im pressing the keyboard, but nothing on the level meter.
  4. How do I go about creating zones? What is a zone? And would I do this with a software instrument with ultrabeat?
  5. Hi my name is walker. I am very new to logic and very new to apple. I have a used 64 bit macbook, the latest greatest logic x and an Akai MPK 49. I have no trouble using the keyboard with the synths and ultrabeat, but I desperately want to learn how to create my own sample and assign it to the pads. I have googled it, wikied it, logicprohelped it, and every article I read either deals with earlier versions of logic or are astronomically over my head. I really need a step by step on what how to make a sample from an audio or midi snippet and then assign it to a key on my controller which i can assign to a pad. If not, point me to a link, you tube video, book, or give me someones freakng telephone number who i could call and guide me through it.
