  1. I've tried rebooting . Internet connection went down during an update upload and now it says 'Logic cannot be opened while it is updating . Waited an hour now . Any ideas ?
  2. Could be a miracle here at Christmas . Heroes Chrispire...followed by stratquebec (who helped navigate) have brought me to the Mix-Delete Automation-Delete Redundant Automation Points as a solution to crashing . I've just had a couple of plays across what were seemingly permanent crash points on my track. It may still be a fluke...but it also may be a Yuletide miracle . Can't thank you guys enough if it stays like this
  3. Hi Chris . Heartwarming story you have there . I've had that problem too . I'm very tec unsavvy and have been unable to find Delete redundant automation points . I have found delete orphaned automation on selected tracks. Is this what you mean ?
  4. I have had this problem for a while now . Do you also notice the play bar playing unevenly . Just the same as you , if I mute channels tracks this still occurs . I've not uploaded any dodgy files only internal stuff and vocals . . It feels like an overload to me . Its forced me to stop another track and a new one now is unworkable.... One possibility for my problem could be the very slow speed Logic was uploaded to my Mac . I worry its corrupted .
  5. Hi thanks for asking . There's Midi involved in the software instruments . Theres 2-4 trax of audio , vocals and a guitar , there's an Apple loop or three . There's no Flex Pitch . Looking at the mixer I see there is separate ptverb on 4 trax , enverb on 3 more and a couple with space design as the only reverbs , inefficiently set up rather than on a bus , but still this shouldn't overload surely . will have a go at getting my system info on each post .
  6. I'm a newbie (ish) on my Logic Pro X version 10.0.7 running on my new iMac version 10.9.4 3.2 intel core 15 with 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 . I'm still learning the kit but have started 3 trax . The one I've worked on most has 17 trax and automation on many of them . My I/O buffer is at 128 , 24 bit recording. I have no other software/outboard stuff , my interface is an Alessis . So what is happening is that I get the coloured circle/ short freeze when I do anything on this track . Something is drastically overloading . Even if one track is soloed the circle will appear and slow up parameter changes . The playhead won't run smoothly towards the end of the track . There doesn't seem to be overload in the CPU box . The other trax I'm working on are ok , but that may just be because I'm using less processing on them so far . Any ideas ?
