Hi, made an account here because I kept coming back for stuff like this. I have the same issue and thoughts as the consensus here. Select and record enable should be completely separate, and the app should never make guesses for me about which tracks are going to be recorded. I've only been using Logic for a couple months now (been an audio engineer since Protools III), and the more I use it the more it seems like it was developed by someone who has never entered a pro recording studio. It's embarrassing. Man, the price point and feature list were something though!
