The above shows the duo 6 slower than iMac 2.7? Or 3.4. Which Mac should I get. Have Apollo. That has 4 CPUs for effects and thought I saw a 6 core you tube (can't find) that recorded 128 tracks while playing 256 back. If they went with silver tank they could run hotter. Ok. So I hear/read the new Mac pros now support multi threading. The problem and a first at that is due to the design, Apple can't go above 3.7 gives and 4 cores orr really am 135 W. That said wait (have always read wait until rev 2) and all this time that the apple or Mac Pro didn't come out I thought it was because they were trying to get the GPU to work with the CPU. Nope. You see. As I'm sure everyone knows CLOCK SPEED IS KING and for the first time. I have never seen that the more cores= lower clock speed. I think they should give us a choice. I would take the grey metal, awesome TANK BUILT MAC PRO ANYDAY as there are faster systems out there but not for Mac Pro. So what do we do? I know many pros who are staying with the silver box and the so called pro cards-AJA is a pro card. Anyway, what is everyone doing? I still haven't seen a full benchmark FOR AUDIO chart. Some say quad for me as I have an Apollo Quad so big burden off of the Mac. Others. The 6. But I want 6 3.7. It's just like when the old new Mac pros came out. The older 2.93 was close to the 12 core due to the clock speed. Or if they really want desktop selling crazy for pros and prosumers. Offer a i7 at its highest vs ECC Xeons. What is the or where is the latest benchmark. Why are audio not considered pro??? I mean almost everything you edit uses music. Would also love to see a purchase from apple buying band in a box and making it so you can play a melody and poof, like Hans or many greats, use an arranger. They could do it. Crap. I had the first and last working Gigastudio for Mac. Any pro will tell you. It's the warmest sounding ever made. Why they sold to Gary I don't know. No offense Gary.
