How do you set Preview track to 256 if they are greyed out ? I can make an audio track and only set it to 253.

As this is the first rev of L10 not to support 10.9.5 has anyone tried it yet in that OS version yet ? Any Issues ? How do you download 10.2.3 while still having 10.2.2 installed and don't overwrite it , e.g. having 2 separate versions installed at the one time, is this possible.

i actually meant to be posting about the drum MACHINE designer, but...this worked. i created a new track in my template, and can access drum machine designer now. thanks! Drum machine Designer is kinda like a Hybrid summing stack, it hosts a multi out Ultrabeat for sounds and all the various routings, this is maybe why you cant have in a summing stack?

Try going to the Logic page in the Appstore rather than waiting for the update alert

I have to say after coming back to Logic after a couple of years I have no major show stopper issues, it very rarely crashes, performs pretty well with most things I throw at it. All software has bugs including Logic , it's up to the individual to see if they can tolerate them. If there was a nirvana DAW we would all be using it. Oh and who needs a Logic support site when we have this forum

For example having a marquee selection on will enable Autopunch when you press record. Actually that is the key. I don't have a marquee selection pre se but I do have the marquee tool assigned to my right mouse and when I use this to to set the cursor in the arrange it happens. When I use the ruler bar to locate the playhead it doesn't happen. Not a bug but a bit strange , the auto punch goes from the cursor to the end of the song.

I usually record midi with the cycle bar operational. This enables notes I record earlier then the cycle to be recorded. Randomly however Autopunch gets engaged too . Is this a known bug. I can't figure out how I am doing this. Downside to this is that any note recorded earlier in not recorded in this mode.

When you say out of key, by how much? That would possibly eliminate the sample rate issue. AFAIK it slightly less then a semitone going up from 44.1 to 48.

Interesting, I use it for pro work and find it very acceptable. Nothing is perfect and haven't come across any showstoppers. I used L9 and absolutely hated it, L10 visually and workflow wise is much better. I have come from using Studio One for the last couple of years, at first it was great, limited in a lot of ways but blazingly fast and intuitive in others. If you think L10 is buggy then whatever they have done to Studio One on Mac is beyond desperate. So far really liking L10, maybe because I don't have a huge attachment to L9.

Hi I am trying to overdub mod wheel on a prerecorded midi take, replace is off. Whenever I do this I hear the effec of the mod wheel but when I stop the mod wheel inf is there but the midi notes aren't , the have been overwritten. However if I do the exact same thing and just hit one midi note in the process the mod wheel data and midi data are merged as expected. Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong ?
