  1. trying to select this (poorly named) parameter set crashes logic 8 out of 10 times. (just after a fresh restart it works) screenshot of a parameter set named 'parameter set'
  2. I say feature. now it is clear that you shouldn't use the global chord function. explicit even.
  3. i understand that for everything Apple provides in terms of on screen controls, but it would seem, to me, that ever panel i put together would have some correlation to a physical controller that should be fairly consistent.
  4. the midi assignments i make to a layout before adding it to my palette. to be clear; i am working in layout mode making a BCF. i have arranged the buttons and knobs and all of that. i then use learn to assign all of physical controls to the sotware equivalent. i add the object to my pallete i quit and start a new project. i drag the control in. i have to reassign everything using learn.
  5. it's worth noting that one of the developers has this view as well. seriously. i had a chance to speak with him and i shared with him, when 8 was released, that i HATED the chord implementation. the moment i mentioned global chords; "ah that's why, don't use those. we' want to fix that later" although later has not arrived yet.
  6. what buttons on the loopback interface are midi assagnable?
  7. Really? even with sibelius 6? odd as they tout it as an improved feature. IMPORT as well.
  8. except...entering an expression does nothing for how the midi is interpreted. this is a large complaint of mine. Chords written in affect very little. - unless using global tracks, and global tracks are 'features' one of the developers even told me to avoid in general. and, lets sayi decide to go for it and use global tracks- no enharmonic names. so i either mix global track chords and plain chords or i go back to only plain chords. much of this would be fine if i could just exchange files with another program in an efficient manner, but midi really is not a notation centric format and XML is nowhere to be found. (final cut XML? not so helpful) Logic 9 does have some nice improvements. i am disappointed by the attention paid to notation. i would be willing to pay for another program that fit into a SMOOTH logic work flow...i just want something.
  9. kerouac...did you purchase logic within 14 days? you could return it. make a genius bar appointment and uninstall and return it.
  10. i think i am disappointed. not overall, since i haven't used it...but it looks like adding guitar chords are all they could think of for score editor.
  11. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Exploring_Logic_Pro_9.pdf http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/ we must find all of the new.
  12. so...other than guitar chords, has score view been updated?
  13. huhn. i was always confused as to why that happened. just thought my computer was showing age.
  14. about that, 'control'-'number' 'number' opens a double digit screenset...no? i had to assign capture as recording to something else.
