  1. Ok, sorted the problem. Somehow I had managed to make my mod wheel CC0 when I was trying to play something in when it was in edit mode. All sorted now. Thanks!
  2. It records as Ch. 1: Bank MSB. So I guess I need to change that somehow to CC1?
  3. Seems to have happened out of nowhere. I can midi learn the mod wheel in a Kontakt instance and it works so it's not the keyboard, but before it would control Omnisphere, Kontakt etc out the box as it were. Looking at my controller assignments for my keyboard (M Audio 88) there is nothing under mode, control or parameter. Have reset the keyboard, no luck.
  4. Should note, I'm talking about my midi keyboard, not a typing keyboard. Will try resetting KCs.
  5. A week or so ago I was trying to create a keyboard shortcut and hit a midi controller key. Ever since, that key creates a 'boomp' flash in OSX when Logic is in the background and creates a sustained note whenever it's trigger. It's not a faulty key either as it happens on another midi controller.
  6. Looking for the best way to get the iPad to connect to my system (wifi? iConnectivity?) for minimal latency. Has anyone had much luck with a fairly reliable setup? I'd ideally like the Lemur templates to update to what plugin I have selected... I can't seem to find much info out there on the net.
  7. I'm working on something without a timecode (so need to stamp AIF files, with mins, secs etc in relation to the video) and want to move forward my score. I could just move across all my regions slightly, but would rather picture hits to match downbeats etc... I've tried changing bar position, plays at SMPTE and video start and they all move the movie file in a way that means I can't tell someone to drop the audio file in at 0.00.00 etc... How can I set this up so I almost delay when the music starts at bar one in relation to the video?
  8. So I've got my project set up with the video file at bar 5 to leave a bit of room for plugins, delays to wake up a bit. I find leaving a bit of space before a cue or track prevents stuttering etc. When I adjust the tempo that is first in the tempo list, this means the video then moves. Is there anyway to lock the video to the that 5 bar downbeat whatever I change the tempo to? And is there way to make audio regions adjust to tempo changes as well? (so let's say a I have bit boom hit on a downbeat, I'd want to it move relative to the tempo changes like midi notes do)
  9. I have, export all tracks doesn't work correctly in the version of Logic I'm on and in the middle of a gig I avoid updating (and been non stop for a while to be honest)
  10. I've run out of busses! If someone has a large template and needs to deliver lots of various stems and FAST, it seems like Logic isn't suited if I'm automating the group aux/bus and have plugins on there. What about people who like to put compressors/limiters etc on their group bus/auxes? Seems like they'd also have to solo bounce.
  11. Hey Eric, thing is I have automation on my aux tracks. And then want to record these changes. And then use the stems in the project to mix with. I guess the best way for me is to just solo each aux/bus (it says bus... so a bit confused) and then import the audio files in and mix them and then bounce them out again once mixed further.
  12. See attached picture. I have all my instruments routed to their specific busses. I have audio tracks with have the input changed to recieve these busses. I arm record them all, and they sound different that when I solo all the busses. There is nothing on my 'mix' bus or stereo bus. Will the audio stem tracks track note of the plugins on my instrument busses? I'm thinking it's not. I want to almost treat those audio stem tracks like a Pro Tools recording machine recording exactly what I hear.
  13. I have 6 different screesets and when switching between them on a project that has a video imported, it's very slow, CPU/Ram spikes in Activity Monitor and sometimes it crashes. Remove the video and it's fine. I've tried Mp4 and Mov. Mov seems to work better but it's still a pain to work with. The hard drive the project is on has 300GB available on it and I'm using 9gb of 16gb of ram. Any suggestions?
  14. Okay figured it out. I had EQ on every track. Turns out I need to load an instrument being stereo first and only then can I have the option to load a stereo EQ. Removing the EQ allows me to load a Kontakt stereo instance and have it actually be stereo.
  15. David, I do it like this due to how I like my environment window. I hate the Mixer window and like to set out all my busses and sub busses and FX bus etc in a pattern. Same with all my Audio tracks and instrument tracks in blocks of 16. Similar to how Charlie Clouser has described in a few posts. Universal track mode is selected. Any idea about the mono thing? Only option is to load a basic channel strips in every instrument, then deselect everything to make it blank. Or possibly add a Gain plugin. It will change the channel to stereo, but if I remove the plug in, it reverts back to mono.
