  1. In finder, choose the view “All My Files” Click on the fourth icon over from the left in the finder toolbar and choose “Change the item arrangement” Select “Application” That will do a sort of all of your files in your system by app. Come down to the “logic” section, and on the right side, click on “Show All (…) That will show you all of your project files If it’s not there, did you say you had time machine?
  2. Try in a new user. If everything is normal, reset preferences: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200260
  3. Have you tried in a new user? http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200260

  6. Hi there - I had some weird stuff like that happen a while back. Frustrating, i know. First of all, make sure you don't have that track hidden, then try muting the track. If it's still playing, solo each suspect track to try to isolate the rogue audio. If that doesn't work, do a save as, then delete the track, then create a new track & punch in on the new one. stuart
  7. hey - it looks like you're talking about 2 things here. To bounce to a mono file, just go to the mixer, go to your "Out 1-2" channel strip, click on the stereo / mono button in the fader area (to change it to mono ) & bounce. To bounce the entire track, set up your song locators, as well as well as song end, then "File -> Export -> Track as audio file". Do this with all of your files & they'll line up in any DAW. hth cheers stuart
  8. yea, you're right. I guess it all depends on the scope of the campaign, the size of the client, their budget, so on. Do either of you have a different reel / cd that you give them than other clients? I mean, would it behoove me to put together a bunch of short cues, say ranging from :15, :30, :60? or are they looking for full songs?
  9. excellent. Thanks fader I've heard that they're a sticky bunch, prone to alot of changes in a short amount of time. Sounds like being very clear from the get go is a must. I'm up for it tho
  10. I'm seriously looking to hook up with those creatives. If you are, can you share any advice on what / what not to do? I have an inkling, but i'd love to hear more. thanks mucho - happy 2010 stuart

I don't know about you guys, but i'm givin back this year...

  13. Hey ski - thanks for the reply. i miss-spoke in regards to drop/non-drop the movie's frame rate is 29.97 there is a t/c burn, and it's 01:00:00:00 at the head there's an 8 sec leader first picture (the start of a fade up) is 01:00:20;06 Logic's frame rate is set to 29.97d So, i set the Movie start to 01:00:20;06 the SMPTE event position to the same So, right now, i'm parked at 01:00:20;06, yet logic's smpte is at 01:00:30;09.35 the last frame of the movie is 02:27:21;08 logic is at 01:23:01:06.33 the t/c in the movie burn just seems like it's clicking off really fast.
  14. I'm stuck here. i'm scoring a picture, but can't seem to get the movie burnTC to sync up with Logic's smpte. I've been reading this thread: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=49126&highlight=sync+picture but i'm still at a loss. the QT movie has an 8 sec leader which reads 01:00:00;00. If i set my movie start at 00:59:00:00, the movie starts at 01:00:15;28, as per ski's instruction. If i set (in the tempo ed) 1 1 1 1 = smpte position 01:00:00.00, Movie Start (in the project settings) at 01:00:00.00 and Sync settings "Bar Position 1 1 1 1 plays as SMPTE 01:00:00.00", the movie (timecode) is running roughly twice as fast as my smpte. the movie is in 29.97 ndrop, and the "detect" box is checked in the tempo ed. Any help would be fantastic. thanks so much. I'll see all you LA people next Tuesday stuart
