hiyasynth
Hi there! So I recently got a new MacBook Pro, running Mavericks OS 10.9. This version won't run Logic 8 since it's a PPC application. I installed Logic 9.1.7 and it works, but now when I try to open my old session files (that were created in Logic 8), it gives the error "The file couldn't be opened." It doesn't give any more information. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
triplets
Update to 9.1.8 and try again.
hiyasynth
Hi, Didn't work, I get the same message, "File couldn't be opened." And if I try to open it from within Logic (i.e. File > Open), the older session files are greyed out, can't select them.
triplets
Did you try using the import function from the Project Browser on the right?
hiyasynth
Yes, This is apparently a PPC problem, since the new macbook Pro's do not support it. I ended up buying a used Powerbook G4 (aluminum) running Tiger 10.4.11. I'll have to use that one for all of my old session files. Thanks for your help!
