Drum octave range?

Hi5

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm so lost lol. All I'm trying to do is assign a kick drum sample across 2 octaves on my midi keyboard. I want to have 2 octaves of the kick drum being able to be played like the scale of a piano, typical of trap music. How do I do this?

Open an EXS24 instrument editor, drag and drop the kick sample and make sure the zone expands for the 2 octaves you wish.

Thanks David. I'm still confused lol. So I currently use live 9 and heard awesome things about logic. I'm currently running the trial version. Here's a video showing exactly what I want to do:

Start the video at 55 seconds in and watch until 1:28. They guy is playing all the samples on his midi keyboard and I really want to learn how to play the kick drum samples like he does in the beginning. You know, going down the range with the sample. Thanks!

Yes, that's what I understood the first time.

Which part is confusing? Inserting the EXS24 sampler? Opening the instrument editor? Adjusting the zone range? If you need more help with this we need more info about your system: Click this link to your signature and add your system information:
