BoSchafers
Hi Guys, Just learning to record midi in Logic (Normally it's all audio with me)... Why does Logic X add one bar to the front of a recording? Pulling my hair out. How to disable this weirdness? Sooo confusing!
BoSchafers
Just thought I'd add, this behaviour is happening in cycle mode only. Tried it with different pre counts, but it always puts in an additional bar before the loop start.
David Nahmani
That can happen sometimes if you play a note before the first downbeat.
BoSchafers
That can happen sometimes if you play a note before the first downbeat. That's exactly what was happening! Looking at the screen/playhead during countdown made me early. I found that if I rely on my ears and the click I'm more accurate and then Logic does not capture the premature note. Thank you very much David for the awnser and running this excellent forum. B.
