JJ2amp4
Today when I went to record audio in Logic , I'm not seeing WAV forms….. Not sure if this is a Logic issue due to a relatively new interface … I have to zoom fully in to see the forms otherwise they don't show at all. I have been using my new Apollo quad for about one week, and I'm encountering a few strange problems that I did not experience with my old interface. The most recent and disconcerting is occurring during recording multiple drum tracks. I've not changed any settings from the two successful recordings of multiple live drums on projects I've recorded over the past week. However today when I record and playback to listen , I'm not seeing any wav forms on the recorded tracks . I hear the drums loud and clear, I see the drums in the Logic and Apollo meters reacting normally, but the wave forms are minuscule to nonexistent on the tracks. Ive tried to normalize a track just to see what happens and I get a message that informs me "Nothing to normalize, Silenced" . I don't know if this is a Logic issue or Apollo, or perhaps they are not speaking to each other properly. Like I said, I've not changed any settings. The Apollo console is setup up in the exact same way as it was when I successfully recorded drums over the past week. I tried setting up a brand new session and the same problem occurs. Pulling hair out! Thanks in advance.
Jordi Torres
Hello and welcome to Logic Pro Help, JJ2&4. Click this link to your signature and add your system information: • Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7) • OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3) • Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac) • Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) • Memory (e.g. 2GB) • Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB) • MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49) (most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and > About This Mac) However today when I record and playback to listen , I'm not seeing any wav forms on the recorded tracks . I hear the drums loud and clear, I see the drums in the Logic and Apollo meters reacting normally, but the wave forms are minuscule to nonexistent on the tracks. Go to Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio > Devices and make sure the Recording Delay is set to 0 samples. After setting it to 0, new recordings should have visible waveforms. J. JJ2amp4
Yes this helped! Its odd that that that setting somehow changed without my prompting it, but I'm greatly relieved that its up and running properly. Thanks for the help.
