tomsawyer
Hello folks. This one is stumping me and I would appreciate any advice. I apologize for lack of details, but I don't have my logic machine handy at the moment. I was happily working on some rather large sessions in logic 9 on my imac (core 2 duo, 8 gb ram), but wanted to upgrade to Logic X due to bugs with drum replacement in 9. SO. I did a full backup with Time Machine in case things didn't go well. I upgraded to Mavericks (needed for Logic X), upgraded to Logic X, but noticed a performance hit on my system with Mavericks, and also Logic X was very sluggish. Pinwheel whenever I select a channel, etc. No harm done, I thought... I'll just do a Time Machine restore and all will be back to normal. So that's what I did. Full Time Machine restore from rescue disk, rebboot, this will wipe drive are you sure, yadda yadda. But now my CPU usage is through the roof and I'm getting overloads in all the sessions which used to run fine. Any ideas??? Trying to avoid a format and reinstall of OS and software here... Thanks very much.
