jerrydpi
My guitar player just recorded his parts that were great but were not quite played in time (if you know what I mean ) Can one Quantize an entire Audio Track vs just a region?
mattyp
Logic need the file in the arrange window in order to quantize it (that's where it gets the time reference from) so you'll need to put the entire file in the arrange page (if not already.) The good news is if your song doesn't change tempo, then you Can just quantize the entire file, and it SHOULD be in time no matter where you slice it up. however you'll have to re-edit the regions to use the new quantized regions. Or bounce it in place as a new file, and rename your old file, replacing it with the new one. The actual how-to is to use flex time. If you are unsure how to do it, there is a step by step in the user guide. Hope that all makes sense!
jerrydpi
mattyp, I'm gathering that if his track is one entire, not edited/pasted/copied, etc, that all I have to do is use Flex Time to quantize the entire track (which I assume is called a File). If the track is edited/pasted/overdubbed/etc, then I will have to use Flex Time on each region. Regardless, I'll try it as soon as I can.
