Mahtava
Hello! I have a problem with Logic Pro bouncing. It changes sounds of my guitars to an Wah-Pedal sounding sound in some places of the record. When i listen to the song inside logic, it is perfect and has no sound issues. Bouncing also changes the pan of the music and metronome slightly to the right. When i listen to the song inside of logic, the pan is in middle. I have tried different bouncing variations like: Normalization on and off Different bit-rates PCM Aiff 24bit and Mp3 Offline and realtime Different sound levels, low (minus) to normal (zero) levels None of these fix these problems. I am using Logic Pro version 9.1.8 Guitar Rig 3 for guitar sounds Macbook white 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 4 Gt I have no idea why bouncing does this to my new songs, my older songs doesent have these issues. Atlas007
Could you post a screen capture of your mixer? Are you using some dithering? Have you tried exporting a track as an audio file? How does the (problematic) bounced file sounds in Logic if you re-import it in Logic?
Mahtava
http://i62.tinypic.com/33wy3qt.png No dithering and no eq's I have never exported anything before, is it like bouncing? Do you think exporting will solve something? bounce file with the issues re-imported to logic sounds normal in logic and has no issues, weird! My older songs, recorded with 1000€ guitar has no bounce issues. These new songs are recorded with a 120€ cheap guitar and these have bounce issues. Could it be that the cheap guitar is the issue? The new songs sound normal in logic though.
Atlas007
I have never exported anything before, is it like bouncing? Somewhat. If you intend to try it, do so with Bypassing Effect plugin. Use the non compressed format and the bit depth used to record with your sound card. Do you think exporting will solve something? I can't tell as I still dont have a clear idea on the cause of your issue. bounce file with the issues re-imported to logic sounds normal in logic and has no issues, weird! Indeed. Seems like that the phasing effect is induced by the sound card. My older songs, recorded with 1000€ guitar has no bounce issues. If you could test with that highend guitar some recordings with the same settings. BTW, you record in stereo the guitar. Any particular reason for that? These new songs are recorded with a 120€ cheap guitar and these have bounce issues.Could it be that the cheap guitar is the issue? Does it have the same issue with different settings fx /no fx, different templates, etc... with new recordings? The new songs sound normal in logic though. Which new songs? Any changes made in the setup from the problematic recordings?
Eriksimon
The absent question here is: through which app are you actually listening to your bounce when you notice these stereo image anomalies? Seems to me that it's an issue with that app.
Mahtava
The tracks should be mono because when i added the tracks, it said mono. does it make any difference if i use stereo? i have tried different fx and no fx inside of Guitar Rig, it doesent make any difference. I was wrong, the old songs also have the pan slightly to right problem. But doesn't make that phasing effect. My sound card is Guitar Rig - Rig Kontrol Pedal, it has a build-in sound card. I was listening it through Itunes and VLC, but i dont think those have any problems.
