sonordrum
I run into this every once in a while and it seems to fix itself after some time. but here it is again. Midi delay - really bad. I made a video of my issue if you would be so kind to watch: NO delay at all while running the drum program as a stand alone. Just while in Logic. My buffer is 256 right now. thanks!! David Nahmani
Try the low latency mode (choose Record > Low Latency Mode) and see if the delay disappear?
sonordrum
wow, that instantly fixed it. Is that just a lack of Ram issue? I have a Macbook Pro with a SSD and 8 gigs of ram. Not running a lot of plug-ins right now. (or a ton of tracks). thanks!! Kent
David Nahmani
No, it only means that some of the plug-ins in your signal chain are creating latency (delay), and the Low Latency Mode bypasses those plug-ins. It's not related to RAM/CPU/HD resources available: if it takes X amount of time for a plug-in to process your sound, then you'll have to wait X amount of time to hear the sound you just played live, OR you'll have to remove that plug-in from your signal chain (which the low latency mode does for you).
