spaghettijay
Hello! I am trying to alter the pitch of an audio file (a bounced song - not a single track, e.g: vocal) without altering the tempo... No problem: Time and Pitch Machine is all good... BUT: Logic Pro X has abandoned the Harmonic Correction. Why?! Seems so daft! As expected, the transposed material is changed without harmonic or formant adjustment and sounds WEIRD. I understand that the 'Flex' tool is where this function is now managed, but have never used it before. Can someone explain the simplest way to fix this? My track is munchkinised and I need to finish a project really soon!... Any explanation of the best method would be greatly appreciated... Merci merci. Atlas007
As you already know, "munchkiness" is due to formant being up-pitched along with the rest of the audio Flex pitch would be your ticket if you were to work on a monophonic recording. I did not test it yet, but it is published that Flex pitch is not suitable for polyphonic audio. Flex time algorythm will affect the playback speed of your audio... Melodyne would be my recommendation.
