iPietro
Hey guys, Since I am kinda new in Music Production I am using GarageBand (that I have upgraded now to the latest version by now) and I have imported all the instruments of Logic Pro 9. I've never updated LP9 to the latest version because I am unsure whether I can have issues with my older GarageBand projects (especially losing or having different instruments with the new version) or not. Now, on GarageBand, most instruments I am using are from Logic Pro 9. However, I think it's time for me to update Logic Pro and just use Logic Pro X instead of GarageBand. If I uploaded it, would I have any issues with my older GarageBand projects? Also, I need to reset my Mac OS since it's getting too slow right now. So like my idea is to install on it (after resetting to the default settings) Logic Pro X and use it with my old projects. Thank you guys if you can help me on that I'm like stuck on this… If you don't understand something just tell me I'll try to explain better
triplets
On Logic X you can get the older plugins by holding down Option when clicking on inserts or instrument slots. It's labeled Legacy. Make sure you download all that additional content when you get Logic X
iPietro
Oh alright thanks! How about older versions of GarageBand though? Also, you have all the interments of GarageBand on Logic Pro X, right?
scottkrk
Assuming you download all the content the old GarageBand instruments will show-up in the Library under Legacy>GarageBand and these sounds will automatically be loaded when you open an old GarageBand song in LPX.
