Export all tracks as audio files - which tracks? [SOLVED]

OK - So how do I know what is getting exported? It looks like muting tracks doesn't change the number of audio files it's going to create. Do I have any control over that? Can I control how long the audio tracks are or does it automatically go until the end of project slider up top?

Any track that is turned on will be exported. To prevent a track from being exported, turn it off. If you don't see the on/off buttons, control-click a track header and choose Track Header Components > Show On/Off. The file length is automatic (meaning any silence at the end of the track is automatically trimmed).

Thanks! This brings up another question though - what would prevent me from seeing the "Show On/Off" option? (To make sure, when you say Track Header you mean the place where the track name and/or number/meter bar/icon/mute button/etc... are shown right? In Logic 9 is says "Configure Track Header" and the little window appears right? It should be in there?)

Control-click a track header, choose Track Header Components and you can choose what to show or hide... or you can also choose "Configure Track Header" as well.

My mistake bob, I was thinking Logic X.

 

In Logic 9, you have to:

 

1) Choose Logic Pro 9 > Preferences > Audio, click the "General" tab, and set your Track Mute/Solo to CPU-saving (Slow Response).

2) Mute the tracks you don't want to export (OR solo the tracks you want to export).
