murf214
Hello. I have an Alesis Q25 controller. When I use it in a new project in Logic X the volume slider doesn't do anything unless I assign it to something in the router, which I prefer. I have multiple projects that I imported from Logic 9 that are all audio. When I add a Logic instrument (ES2, Retro Synth...) the volume slider on the Q25 controls the track fader. Why is this happening and is there a way for me to choose what the slider controls? Thanks for any help. David Nahmani
If a fader on your keyboard sends MIDI CC#7 then it will be used to control the selected track's volume. This can be turned on/off under File > Project Settings > MIDI > General: Control Change 7/10 controls Volume/Pan of channel strip objects. murf214
Thanks David. All my Logic 9 projects have that checked and any new project I create doesn't. Thanks again.
