Logic pro X 10.1 Problems [SOLVED]

Sun Jan 25, 2015 10:57 am

Unfortunately I have updated to new vers. 10.1 obviously my MCU Pro and MCU Extender Pro is out of order now. Nothing is working.
MCU and XT even doesen't know that they are on Logic mode. And display is acting like either HUE or other mode, no more responses from the tracks etc... not possible to work like this. Especially for a pro musician, Why they updating without checking all the problems I don't get it. I am on Yosemite, even if I go back to the LPX Mountain Lion on LPX 10.7 it will tell me I have to update because this Logic file was saved with the new Vers, but the update version's anyway is working. So I have a problem again. Like I always do with Logic....

The update should not affect your controllers.

Hi Eric, thanks for the reply, how can you explain than, all files under LPX 10.0.7 is working but not the LPX 10.1?
Do you think it is Yosemite? Because the older LPX files are under Mountain Lion. And MCU's are working fine.
B.T.W. I have recreated the same order X times, no success.

It's hard to say what the problem is since we don't know that much about your system.
All I can say is that it isn't related to the Logic Pro X 10.1 update.

Click this link to your signature and add your system information:
• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.1)
• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.10.1)
• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)
• Processor (e.g. 2.2 GHz Intel i7)
• Memory (e.g. 8GB)
• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. RME Babyface)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)

Both Eucon and certain Mackie controller support appear to be broken in 10.1 according to various reports Im reading...

Eucon is broken but Mackie control works fine here.
It must be system specific.

I have 3 and they work fine.

I recommend you power them all off. Then delete them from controller setup. Then power the first one on and wait. It should come up. Then power up the next one and wait...and so on.

If it doesnt work, repeat the process, but power off your midi interface first and then power it back on. Then start the same process again.

At one point I had an issue with the controllers being connected to specific interfaces and after switching to different interfaces they work much better. That may be an option as well.

Once again I am writing because this is very important, I'm back to LPX 10.0.7 on Mountain Lion, and everything is working fine. So I have no doubt this is an UPDATE BUG. They shouldn't play with us like that I guess, I am pro musician I was middle of the very important arrangement, but today, whole day is gone to find out what is wrong with my MCU's or my Mac, this is just a bloody update bug and they are (APPLE) using us like I don't know what...

Which versions of firmware do you have?. I posted in a separate thread, I have 4.03 in a MCU and XT Pro also a C4 Pro, no issues whatsoever *shrug*. BTW, note I am under 10.9.5 OSX, not making that leap to Yosemite yet :).

MCU Pro vers. 4.03 Extender pro Vers. was 4.02 but I have updated to 4.03 last night. Yosemite is big problem, was already with LPX 10.0.7 now problem is a bug bigger. With LPX 10.1. After several installs, my MCU's are even don't know if they were installed, I have 2 of MCU-XT instead of MCU Pro on the side. The ports are right etc. But I have returned back to Mountain Lion and to LPX 10.0.7. All is fine now. So I'm not gonna update or upgrade anything from Apple for now, I have promised to my self ...I start to hate Apple and the Policy of Apple. They are pushing you to update, then you become a beta tester, and they are making the money.....

this may be more of a Mackie issue than Apple. Mackie is not only notorious about being several OS's behind in their updates, but they also acknowledge it and yet offer no timeline at all. Their customer service is horrible. They cannot keep up with Apple.
