dustinfsmith
So I just got an Alesis GuitarLink Plus, which is supposed to be a plug and play 1/4 inch to usb. I plugged it in, and logic recognized a device had been plugged in like normal. I arm the track, and when I play the guitar I see everything moving like normal, but I can't hear anything. I recorded some and I see the waves and everything, I jus can't hear it. I go to listen to what I recorded and there is no sound at all, not even from other pre-recorded tracks (both midi and audio). I unplugged the usb and I could hear everything fine, even the guitar that I had just recorded. I just really need some help to be able to hear what I'm playing as I'm playing it, as well as all of the other tracks, like this: Just jump ahead to 1:05 and that is what I would like to be able to do. Thanks guys.
David Nahmani
Go to Preferences > Audio > Devices > Core Audio and make sure that you select the desired OUTPUT device, while leaving the input device set to your GuitarLink.
dustinfsmith
The inputs and output by default changed to the guitarlink so I left it at that. What should the output be?
triplets
If you want to hear it thru your laptop speakers select built-in on the output.

dustinfsmith
Yeah, I just wanted to hear it through my laptop speakers/headphones. I just changed it to built in output and that worked great. Thanks a lot guys.
