Group Quick Swipe Comping issue [SOLVED]

Postby bluestarstudios » Thu May 24, 2012 4:00 pm

Hello!

I love Logic's Quick Swipe Comping feature. Best thing ever! Always works flawless.

However the other day i recorded guitars with two mics. I need to edit it as a group. And somehow editing one doesn't transfer the changes to the other track. They're selected as one group, phase-locked editing enabled and all, yet no success (I've done this many times before). During the recording session there were a couple random takes where by accident one of the tracks didn't record. I thought that the miss-matching number of takes might be the issue, so I unpacked one of the folders, removed the non-matching takes, made sure the takes and their order are identical and packed the take folders again. Still no success.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks!

Open the group settings, disable and re-enable editing, and try again.

Make sure all your take folders have the exact same start/end points. If necessary cut them again to make them start/end at the same positions.

Finally got it fixed! Thanks for the tips gents! You were correct to look at the start and ends. But not just the take folders, but each region individually. Turned out that there were a couple regions that had shifted starts/ends. Once I fixed that and repacked the take folders I'm back in the Quick Swipe Comping game. ;)

Thanks!! :)
