You might have a look around in here and see if there is anything you like http://www.gearslutz.com/board/logic-pro-x/904900-all-fcasoria-logic-x-themes.html

On the other hand if you are up for it here is the mother lode of how to do themes/skins yourself to get what you personally want http://www.gearslutz.com/board/logic-pro-x/857146-custom-logic-x-guis-thread-5.html

I want to thank you Juss for the most readable theme, Moon Dust v3. I've been using it now for over a month and I love it because all of the text is so readable and easy on the eyes; the piano roll is also very clear and legible with all of the division lines showing up the way they should. BRAVO!

I wanted to have a look at this gui "Paris V3"

I copied the downloaded files as suggested here:

Navigate to the Logic X folder called “A”, which is here:

Logic X Pro

>Contents

>>Frameworks

>>>MAResources.framework

>>>>Versions

>>>>>A

When I start Logic pro x I have the main upper menu but no windows (arr, mixer,...) at all. I tried on a new Mac Book retina.

Any ideas?

If you navigate to this page you will see there are/is an earlier version and and an update. You have to install both and there may be more, I'm not sure.. You have to read every page in this 17 page thread. It is not very organized. It is very easy to install an update without realizing there is an earlier version which also should be in place before the update.. It happened to me already! Some of the templates are very nice but you can get caught in a maze of confusion on versions. Some updates are on various pages.. Read Read Read. Make sure you backup your clean Resources folder!! (Thanks to fcasoria for all his work and contributing free templates to the community) Hope that helps.

Last night I spoke with someone on that thread. He said that if the Template is in with the templates for OSX.7 that you can just download the file under the picture. So I tried it and got the "Carisma 2.0". It worked just fine. What is confusing is that a couple of the templates have Version 1, Version 1.5 and so on. I'm really not sure about these but it seems to me that you would need them?? Be sure to add the new template files to the default factory Resources folder. If you read further down page 17 of the link above, you will have more clarity about adding new templates and reverting.. Please have a look, I'm sure it will make things a lot clearer for you.

I used a custom GUI for Logic 9 that gave the meters step numbers and other small plug in colour changes. I forget the name of the creator of the GUI. After each update, I would have to reinstall the GUI modification.

What I'd really like is an app to easily modify the background colours in the Main window, as well as in the Piano Roll. If enough of us complain about this, perhaps Apple will add GUI colour modification in the next update.

Is there anyone who can edit and bring back the L9 colour pallete into LPX?

Not possible :-(

Kim (or anyone?) are you POSITIVE that it isn't possible? I love these custom GUIs but I'm so used to the colour coding I've had for years. LPX is a major adjustment, and the old palette colours (or at least something close) would be wonderful.

Well...you can, but...it's a LOT of work.

First you need to download and install Xcode (free from the app store), then go to GearSlutz.com and read all the posts in the threads on modifying the GUI in LPX, working you're way through what the people are doing in that thread, and then looking at the spread sheet that Juss linked to in a post previously on this page to see if you can find where what you want to modify is located and maybe even PM FCasoria (who has done remarkable things with new skins) to see if he knows where the things you want to change are located. It will not be simple and easy, though if you are persistent you will eventually be able to get it done.

Also, somewhere in the really long thread there is (or was) a skin labeled LP9 but I don't know if it really looked like LP9 since I never owned 9 and did not try that skin. If you find it try it knowing it may or may not work because it may have been for LPX 10.0.5 or 10.0.6 and was never updated to work in 10.0.7

HTH,

I got a GUI from Logic Cafe.com. It's a light brown and so much easier to deal with.. Apple changed their files for monitors about a year back, and as a result my 30" Gateway is dark.. I've fooled around with parameters but not much change..

On my Gateway Logic is basically black on black, when I more over to 23 inch Apple display it is more a charcoal.. So I really appreciate this different GUI.. Also makes it feel kind of personalized..

Now if some one comes out with a lot of TIFF icons.. I hate that Apple cut the number and variety of them down so drastically. I relied a lot on icons to stand out in a long list of instruments.

Hey guys. Im trying to edit the colour pallete but not having much success. Probably because I'm not a software programmer and don't understand colour codes very well.

I want to get this exact colour into LPX - http://cl.ly/image/0a081s0b361C

How should i type it into the plist file for colour 1? This is what I've attempted - http://cl.ly/image/2o3o2j3f3f2a

Any help would be much appreciated.
