That seems really low!
Are you sure that it is reporting the correct latency value to Logic?
Have you tried the loopback test?

No I didn't do the loopback test. But it doesn't matter because if those numbers are wrong, then everybody's numbers are wrong because that's what Logic is reporting. Ergo, firewire still beats USB 2. :)

I just did the loopback test to not be so vague about it.
The recording delay was 74 samples. So 74 divided by 44.1 is 1.67. So that should be 1.7 ms, correct?
Logic was showing 2.7 ms. So that means it's even lower. Cool!

No.
It's 2.7 + 1.7 ms = 4.4 ms
That sounds more like the real roundtrip latency. (32 samples x 2 + AD + DA + FireWire safety buffer + CueMix. )
