zayan
Hi guys, I plan on purchasing the following: Refurbished 27-inch iMac 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 27-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology; 2560-by-1440 resolution 8GB memory 1TB hard drive NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory Built-in FaceTime HD camera My workflow is one that enjoys using plug-in inserts in alot of tracks. I usually use up to 18-24 tracks per project. I find with my macbook (4gb ram 1.6ghz), that it slows down really quickly when I put too many plug-ins into my tracks. I want to have a powerful enough computer that logic would not require me to use other features to lighten the CPU load. I'm jaded of lowering the buffering rate etc. Will this computer be powerful enough for me to have at least 7-8 plugins on a total of 24 tracks? All help is appreciated, thank yoU! triplets
Try to get your hands on an i7 chip, which uses Hyperthreading technology and doubles the CPU cores that Logic sees.
