tyebillion
Is there any point of recording a Yamaha RM1x at 96 kHz instead of the normal 44.1 kHz?
David Nahmani
Probably not - but give it a try for yourself, see if you can hear a difference? Depending on your interface, 96k may perform worse than 44.1k (due to clock instability at those high sample rates).
tyebillion
I am having trouble getting my Quad Capture to go into 96kHz mode. When I select this then load Logic, it reverts to 44.1kHz anyway. Why is this?

Why is this? You have to change the sample rate within Logic.
David Nahmani
Yup, change the sample rate of your Logic project under File > Project Settings > Audio. The interface should automatically follow.
tyebillion
Where exactly is the sample rate in Logic X? I only see "24 bit recording" under File > Project Settings > Audio -> Devices.

Right click the Transport LCD to customize and checkmark sample rate.

You're not looking in the right place: you're looking at Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio. You want to look at File > Project Settings > Audio.
