No, i haven't put it to surround yet coz i haven't made a new recording. It's just that before, even though i haven't made a new record there's always a surround mastering everytime i click on new & under the Produce Template there's always surround there.

O.K.

Now I think I know what you're talking about. Are you saying that you don't have the Surround Mastering template available anymore when creating a new project?

Yes sir, what i i have now is the empty project, multi track stereo production, music for picture & the stereo mastering, i don't have the others like surround & tdm. Not sure what happened to them or how i can get them back.

The folder I'm referring to is named Produce. You'll find it in the Project Templates folder.

Follow the string in my last post.

Try quitting Logic and shut down your computer. After a couple minutes start your computer up and relaunch Logic. See if it clears the issue.

If all the proper template files are in the Produce folder and you can see the other template files available when creating a new project then I can assume you have not moved any of the files in the Library.

So, if I were in your shoes (because I can't think of anything else at this time) I would try re-indexing Spotlight. Not sure if it will be the cure but it won't hurt anything to try.

Go into System Preferences>Spotlight>Click the Privacy Tab. Check if your hard drive is in that list. If it is, remove it. If it isn’t, Drag the HD from the desktop that you want to Re-index into the window that says "Prevent Spotlight from searching these locations". Then Remove the volume you just added by selecting it and clicking the - (minus) button. Spotlight will re-index that volume.

Then try creating a new project again and see if all of the Templates show up.

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. Very strange issue. Maybe someone else will have an idea or two that you can try.

Apparent bug Confirmed.

They are missing here too in 9.1.6 (Did you upgrade too Hippie or are you still at 9.1.5?) but are present in the templates folder

You can navigate to the template folder in finder and run the template from there of course... as a 'dirty' workaround...

**Updated "Dirty" Workaround**

Load Missing template manually via Finder

Save as template with same name (File/Save as Template)

Template will now be found under My Templates in dialog window.

Further info

Cannot find any reason for them not to show up as normal. Spotlight 'finds' them.. and they have same permissions as the other templates. Maybe they are missing from a plist somewhere but so far I haven't found the right plist where the list of default templates are stored It's not in the 'likely' ones as far as i can see!

Then it looks like it's a 'bug' in 9.1.6 because i can see them in 9.1.5

(Probably time to update your sig Hippie to reflect the correct version of Logic you are using... :) )
