Is a headphone amp needed for AKG K240?

I have an IMac 27’’ from mid 2010.
Is the headphone jack sufficient to drive my AKG K240 Studio headphones for studio monitoring; or should I get a headphone amp and/or DAC? According to AKG’s web site the specs are :
Sensitivity 91 db/mW, 104 db/V
Rated impedance 55 ohms

55 ohms is very efficient, you should not need an amp.
