Runi
Maybe a stupid question ,but hey.... I have been copying channel strips internally in Mainstage and thought/hoped the copying of my favourite channels in logic would be the same easy; copy and paste. But this was not so appearantly Why is this not that easy? What am I missing? And is proper procedure working both ways, also from mainstage into logic? shivermetimbers
If I come up with a setting I like ( in Logic), I save it as a channel strip setting. I can recognize it ( in Main stage) by the unique name I assigned it.
Runi
Thanks ..this seems very easy...but I can´t seem to find that "save function" U speak of...hehe...so how would U explain this save-procedure for a logic-challenged guy like me? shivermetimbers
Well, this is a case where reading the manual will come in handy. The channel strip inset (above the EQ box) will have the SAVE CHANNEL STRIP SETTING AS ... menu. You can rename this to whatever you want. Once saved, it will be available in Mainstage. You can do the same thing in Mainstage with the SSAVE CHANNEL STRIP SETTING AS ... menu.
Runi
Ah! Thanks alot!...I tried there, but I just right-clicked...silly me. Sorry for being a bad boy and not reading the manual 8) ...but where did those nice paperbacks go anyway?...not so eager to read on screen...but I´ll save U the trouble next time. Thanks for saving my day
ListentoEchoes
Hello I've tried this but I only get the options of changing: EQ Inserts Sends I/O How do I get the channel strip options? Thanks for your help.
Runi
Now I know! (eagerly) U have to press the "Settings" button just above the EQ Curve -window. Then a new pop-up window opens with your desired parameters.
ListentoEchoes
Thanks for he reply, I have done the steps necessary to save the setting, but as I posted prior, I only get the four options. I'm a little confused now. Are there limitions to which type of channel settings that can be saved?
Runi
In Mainstage U just click where the name of the strip is shown; just below the "volume-wheel". Another option is just to highlight the strip and use the copy function, and then paste it somewhere else.
