I'm trying to layer up strings in mainstage but when i get past 16 software instrument channel strips i can't get a sound. I can still create channel strips but the instruments don't sound. scotmus Posted November 28, 2009 Author Share Posted November 28, 2009 Hi Thanks for your reply. I'm using layers to stack up strings with the EXS24 sampler. I'm panning them, detuning etc to try to make a big sounding string section. I also have a couple of organs in there. It's all to make a melody sound for a live song. It does sound pretty huge. I need to add another couple of samples for other parts of the song. I'm pretty much a novice at this and this is the only way i could think of doing it. If there's a better way i'd love to know it.
