Trigger Midi Note with Sustain Pedal=

Hi, a quick question - would it be possible to trigger a midi note by pressing down the sustain pedal?

Hmm, probably yes. Add a drum pad to the workspace, assign it to sustain. Then map the drum pad to the note.

Ok..not sure how I map a drum pad to a note..? I know how to map it to everything else but not a midi note

You could set up a Transformer in the Environment. You can change any MIDI event into any other MIDI event that way (possibly except note off events - but that doesn't apply here).

Or have I missed something? there is no environment in Mainstage right..?

Select the drum pad and look at the available mappings: there should be a list of all MIDI notes.
