Trouble extending segments

Postby BK1 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 1:28 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to really get STP down but I'm just not having any luck on own.

Here's the scenario:

I have an old 80's Pop song that I'm trying to extend from 3 minutes to about 5 minutes.

I have tried to extend the intro of the song by repeating the first 2 bars. When I copy and paste the section, the very first beat of the new pasted section is louder than the rest and then it goes back to it's original volume.

So the extended intro that I just worked on sounds like this. Boom Boom Boom Boom, BOOM boom boom boom, BOOM boom boom boom, BOOM boom boom boom.

Hope this make sense. LOL.

Any tips or suggestions. I was previously using Soundforge on my PC and I would not have this problem.

Thanks

This is not normal STP behavior.

Is it possible you loop is actually 2 bars plus one beat and you've overlapped?

Any volume automation copied?

Did you process the loop in the audio editor?
