Logic Pro 9—Aligning regions and pitches

Hi,

I'm creating a mock-up using orchestral samples. I'm wondering if there's a short cut or any tool which makes it easier to align pitches (from inside the Piano Roll) vertically so that they are sounded together precisely at the same time. Can do this by just dragging each pitch and fine-tuning their position, but I'm just wondering if there's a shorter of doing this, since it gets hugely time consuming to do this for large orchestral pieces.

Look up quantizing.

I did look up quantizing but this doesn't apply to my situation, as far as I can see, because quantizing is mainly as issue when recording with metronome. I almost never record with metronome. So far, no answer to this question.

For a tool to function like you want you need a template or grid.

 

If you don't play with a metronome how should the tool line things up, what's the guide?

 

You can try creating a tempo map to have a wandering click.
