quick automation settings saved in project

Postby tigermaster » Sun May 06, 2012 5:04 pm

i would like to have quick automation settings saved inside the project, instead of the preferences file, so each song will have its custom quick automations, if i want an automation to be available on all prject i'll add it to Autoload, so there is no reason to keep it inside the preferences, in addition having too many quick automations sometimes breaks the preferences causing logic to unexpectedly quits after boot, and i have to recover it from a time machine backup.

I think you may be using the wrong terminology here, as there is only one hardware knob that can be assigned to Automation Quick Access (which I am assuming you are referring to as "quick automation"?). If you could clarify what your feature request is?

Sorry, i'm talking about "controller assignment", that is the place where "controller to automation" settings will be saved when you do "automation quick access".
by the way, when you have several assignments sometimes the logic preference file corrupts, eg. logic quit unexpetedly immediately after initial bootlogo.
the only way to use logic again is to trash that and get an older one from a backup, or create a new one.
Here's the panel, there are no assignment now (for the reason above and i had to format my timemachine hd so i have to configure again)
i had about 30 assignments, from a virtual midi to a plug-in on several mixer channels (midi cc to automation).
it can works for weeks then one day it will corrupts, very randomly, but i've noticed that it happens more frequently if i assign more....

What i'm asking is to remove this settings from the preferences file and save it on the project instead,
