step inputting triplets does not work with chords

When inputting triplet chords in step input the "3" button releases after each single input. Anyway to make the "triplet" button stick when
inputting in a long series of triplets?

How do I get to have the Logic programmers fix this for the next upgrade? Digital Performer has a very good step input function.
